Although all 4 members of the band got together over their love of blues music, each has their own musical tastes. Jake is into rock and roll, Sam’s into jazz, Josh likes world music and Danny is into folk. This American rock duo formed in Akron, Ohio in 2001 consists of Dan Auerbach (guitar, vocals) and Patrick Carney (drums). Their music is a mix of rock and roll, blues rock, indie rock, alternative rock and punk rock. Wolfmother

Wolfmother are a hard rock band formed in 2004 in Sydney, Australia. When their first album was released many comparisons were made about their sound. In particular, Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin. In more recent years comparisons have been made that include The Darkness, White Stripes and Queens Of The Stone Age. They released their self-titled debut EP in 2019 and it went to number 1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs chart. That made them the first unsigned band ever to achieve this. Them Crooked Vultures

Them Crooked Vultures is a rock Supergroup formed in Los Angeles, California, USA in 2009. The band consisted of Josh Homme (Queens Of The Stone Age), Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters and Nirvana) and John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin). They only released 1 album which was self-titled, and 2 singles, with one of those singles, “New Fang” earning them a Grammy Award for best Hard Rock Performance.

Royal Blood 

Royal Blood are a rock duo formed in 2011 in Worthing UK. Bassist Mike Kerr has a unique style of playing bass. He makes it sound like a standard electric guitar via various effect pedals and amps. They have released 3 albums so far and won numerous awards.

The White Stripes

The White Stripes were an American rock duo from Detroit, Michigan. They rose to fame during the early 2000s as a garage band, and it was their album “White Blood Cells” which is really reminiscent of Led Zeppelin. Jack White (singer/songwriter, guitarist, keyboardist and mandolin player) has said in an interview, that he “can’t Trust anybody who doesn’t like Led Zeppelin” and cites them along with AC/DC as influences.

Earthless 

Although Earthless are mainly an instrumental band, they sound similar enough to Led Zeppelin to be included on this list. Formed in San Diego, California, USA in 2001, Earthless cite Led Zeppelin as one of their influences.

Bonham was a British rock band formed by Jason Bonham, the son of the Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham. They released 4 studio albums and 3 singles and were also known as “Motherland” and “The Jason Bonham Band”.

Deep Purple were formed in London, England, UK in 1968. Originally called “Roundabout”, Deep Purple, along with Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin were known as “the unholy trinity of British Hard Rock and Heavy Metal in the early to mid 70s. Black Sabbath

Formed in Birmingham, UK in 1968, Black Sabbath were an English rock band who along with Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin were the early to mid 70s main hard rock and heavy rock bands to listen to in Great Britain. They cited Led Zeppelin as one of their influences and they released 19 albums over their time together as a band.

Rush

Formed in Toronto in 1968, Rush was a Canadian rock band.
