Here's where to position your fingers when playing the Gm7/D chord:

1. Tune your guitar Tune your guitar to the standard tuning of EADGBe
2. Index finger: barre 1st, 2nd and 3rd strings on the 3rd fret. Use your index finger to barre the 1st, 2nd and 3rd strings on the 3rd fret.
