Shiro Arai founded Aria in Nagoya, Japan, in 1956. Shiro, an excellent Classical musician, struggled to get gut strings for his guitar and began importing Augustine nylon strings from New York. It didn’t take long for word to spread among other musicians and students, and a company of musical instrument manufacture and distribution was established. Aria is currently recognized as one of the world’s leading fretted instrument makers, with products available in every nation. Japan, Korea, Spain, Indonesia, and China are increasingly producing guitars, amplifiers, and accessories.

Aria’s goal is to create fantastic instruments that inspire musicians of all levels. We prioritize quality, playability, and value equally whether you are a beginner or an experienced guitarist.

We’ve been developing and manufacturing fretted instruments since 1956, so we’ve accumulated a lot of knowledge and experience. Great instruments don’t simply appear out of nowhere. Our design team is made up of of musicians who are continuously collaborating with our endorsees and manufacturing staff to create Aria guitars to the highest possible standards. We at Aria are always striving for greater excellence, quality, and value for artists all around the globe.

Aria UK is a distributor of guitars, amplifiers, and drums to musical instrument retailers in the United Kingdom. We began in 1977 to promote and sell Aria instruments and have since grown to offer a wide range of top guitar and guitar-related items to Music Retailers in the UK and Ireland. Aria goods are distributed by Aria UK to distributors in Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden.
