How To Play

DROPPED TUNING:
as seen in the live video link mentioned above in the header info:
String: 6 5 4 3 2 1
Tuning: C#-F#-B -E -G#-C#
Using a chromatic tuner will make this easier to get these pitches.

For keyboard and bass players set the transpose function
to - 3 to view the chords in Db. Then use the menu button
to select sharps or flats.

PLEASE NOTE: Chords in Version One named as if still in standard
tuning, but with the detuning they'll sound as Db, Gb and Abm

E = 022100  A = x02220  Bm = x24432

VERSE 1
E A Bm A
After I died, and the make-up had dried,
       E Bm A E
I went back to my place,
E A Bm A E Bm A E
No moon that night, but a heavenly light shone--- on my face,
         E A
Still, I thought it was odd,
          Bm A E Bm A E
There was no sign of God just to usher me in,
       E A Bm A
Then a voice from a - bove, sugar - coated with love,
       E Bm A E
Said, "Let us be - gin!"

CHORUS
           E A Bm A
You got to fill out a form first,
             E Bm A E
And then you wait in the line,
           E A Bm A
You got to fill out a form first,
             E Bm A E
And then you wait in the line

VERSE 2
        E A Bm A
Okay, a new kid in school got to follow the rule,
           E Bm A E
You got to learn the rou - tine,
               E A Bm A
Woh, there's a girl over there, with the sunshiny hair,
       E Bm A E
Like a Homecoming Queen,
         E A Bm A
I said, "Hey, what you say? It's a glorious day,
       E Bm A E
By the way, how long you been dead?
      E A Bm A
Maybe you, maybe me, maybe baby makes three!"
        E Bm A E
But she just shook her head

CHORUS
           E A Bm A
You got to fill out a form first,
             E Bm A E
And then you wait in the line,
           E A Bm A
You got to fill out a form first,
             E Bm A E
And then you wait in the line

VERSE 3
E A Bm A E Bm A E
Buddah and Moses, and all the noses from narrow to flat,
       E A Bm A
Had to stand in the line, just to glimpse the di - vine,
         E Bm A E
What'cha think about that?
         E A Bm A
Well, it seems like our fate's to suffer and wait...
           E Bm A E
...for the knowledge we seek,
     E A Bm A
It's all his de - sign, no one cuts in the line,
       E Bm A E
No one here likes a sneak

CHORUS
           E A Bm A
You got to fill out a form first,
             E Bm A E
And then you wait in the line,

The Lord God is near,
E A Bm A
Face to face, in the vastness of space,
     E Bm A E
Your words disap - pear,
        E A Bm A
And you feel like swimming in an ocean of love,
        E Bm A E
And the current is strong,
    E A Bm A
But all that re - mains when you try to ex - plain...
